I was lost in my words.
My lies to big to chew or gnaw.
I was living a false life,
Under a fake law.
I was alone and forgotten,
It was empty and dark.
In a forsaken world.
Like dead black tree bark
There was a wonderful way,
I could go back.
Out of the ashes,
Out of the rugged sack.
I told the truth.
I tried as I might,
And was forgiven at last.
Now I walk in the light.
